6 Great Training Resources from ATD

Mimeo loves the ATD International Conference and Expo. It is a great opportunity to refresh your learning strategy, meet new people, and connect with old friends and customers. Mimeo attended both to learn and to exhibit, and we had a lot of fun doing it.

We were donating $1 to Teach for America for everyone who stopped by our booth, with bonus donations for everyone who played our cornhole game. In total we raised $5,000 for our very worthy customer, Teach for America.

For those of you who couldn’t attend ATD this year, here are some highlights:

Simon Sinek Keynote

Everyone in the expo buzzed about how amazing Simon Sinek’s keynote address was on Monday morning. Check out his talk on Why Leaders Eat Last here.ATD Photo Booth 2016

Relevance of L&D

Picking up on a topic that has been bouncing around the L&D community for the last few months, JD Dillon presented on how to keep your L&D relevant to the business.

Social Media and Learning

There were several great sessions on how to use social media platforms into learning programs, especially to pilot social learning before investing in an expensive platform. Check out these slides shared by Dan Steer and how to keep learning alive with social media by Daniel Jones.

Tying Everything Together

As this post by Katelind Hays at InSync Training shows, one of the treasures of ATD is to bring together themes of learning, leadership, change management, and more so that great minds of multiple disciplines brainstorm new solutions.

State of Learning and Development 2016

Everyone who stopped by our booth also got our State of Learning and Development 2016 report, produced in conjunction with InSync Training to find out what are current L&D challenges and what the L&D professionals are planning on implementing in the future.
